As the year comes to an end, it’s always best to reflect in order to prosper in the coming times. Sorting out the lessons learned from mistakes made or chances missed, and noting opportunities gained that remind us we are on the right path. Here at Readily Aware, 2016 was our first full-year as a blog. Though our progress may not be noticeable to our readers, internally it has been quite the ride.
This blog originally launched in November of 2015 as a way to keep a promise to myself: that after graduating college I would never stop reading or writing. The site began with a variety of posts—ranging from random thoughts to classic film reviews—which allowed for content to be shared, but there was never really a clear overall direction. Here we are, more than a year later and still pushing forward with two new talented contributors—Neal Eric Yeomans and Courtney Josephson—and a vision to grow as a literary blog for writers of all niches to express themselves freely. “Readily Aware” itself is meant to be an enlightened theme; aligning with the mindset of our contributors. We come from different walks of life, but share a bond of consciousness and passion for art and expression.
As a blog, we’d like to say thank you to any readers we have had over the year and wish all of you the best for 2017! We appreciate all of your continued support and hope we can keep providing some enjoyable reads.
